Use the Rotate Grip Tool to Modify Objects
 
 
 

To rotate objects in 3D space along a specified axis

  1. On the dashboard, 3D Make control panel, click 3D Rotate.
  2. Select the objects and subobjects you want to rotate.

    Press and hold CTRL to select subobjects (faces, edges, and vertices). Release CTRL to select objects.

  3. When you’re done selecting objects, press ENTER.

    The rotate grip tool is displayed attached to the cursor.

  4. Click to place the rotate grip tool, specifying the base point for the move.
  5. Hover the cursor over an axis handle on the grip tool until it turns yellow and the vector displays, and then click.

  6. Click or enter a value to specify the angle of the rotation.
