Section objects have three states: Section Plane,
Section Boundary, and Section Volume. Depending on the state you
choose, you can view the cutting plane as a 2D plane, a 2D box, or
a 3D box. Grips allow you to make adjustments to the length, width,
and height of the cutting area.
Section Plane. The section line and
transparent section plane indicator display. The cutting plane
extends infinitely in all directions.
Section Boundary. A 2D box shows the
XY extents of the cutting plane. The cutting
plane along the Z axis extends
infinitely.
Section Volume. A 3D box shows the
extents of the cutting plane in all directions.
