To turn Auto-hide on or off for a floating palette or window

Do one of the following:

• Right-click the title bar of the floating palette or window. Click Auto-hide.
• On the title bar of a floating palette or window, click the Auto-hide button.

  If Auto-hide is selected, floating windows roll open and closed as the cursor moves across them. When this option is cleared, the full window stays open continuously.

  NoteThis procedure applies to the Tool palette, DesignCenter, the Properties palette, and several other palettes.
