In the Block Editor, in the Block Authoring Palettes window,
Actions tab, click the Array Action tool.
In the Block Editor drawing area, select a parameter to
associate with the action. (You can associate linear, polar, and XY
parameters with an array action.)
Select the objects (the selection set) to associate with the
action.
Press ENTER.
If you are associating the array action with an XY parameter,
do one of the following:
Enter the distance between rows.
Specify a unit cell by entering two values separated by a comma
or by picking two opposite points of a rectangle in the drawing
area, and then go to step 7.
Enter a value for the distance between columns.
If you are assigning the array action to an XY parameter, enter
the distance between rows.
Do one of the following to specify the location of the action:
Use the pointing device.
Enter the X and Y
coordinate values, separated by a comma.
NoteThe action
location in the block definition has no effect on the appearance or
functionality of the block reference.
On the Block Editor toolbar, click Save Block Definition.
If you are finished using the Block Editor, click Close Block
Editor.
