Apply Materials to Objects and Faces

To apply a material to an object from a tool palette

  1. Click Tools menu; Palettes; Tool Palettes.

    If the Tool Palettes window does not display materials, click the Materials panel icon on the dashboard.

  2. Click a tool palette tab to make it active.
  3. Drag the material from the tool palette onto the object.
 Pointing device: Click the material tool and use the paintbrush cursor to select objects.
 Pointing device: Drag the material tool onto an object.
 Shortcut menu: Right-click a material swatch and click Apply Material to Objects.
