Create and Edit Links and Link Templates

To create a link between an object and a record in an external database

  1. In the dbConnect Manager, open a database table that has at least one link template defined.
  2. In the Data View window, select the link template that you want to use from the Link Template list.
  3. In the Data View window, select one or more records that you want to link.
  4. Click the arrow to the right of the Link button to display the drop-down list.
  5. In the drop-down list, click Create Links.
  6. Select one or more objects in the drawing that you want to link the data to.
  7. Press ENTER.
