To create a link template in the current drawing

  1. In the dbConnect Manager, in the tree view, right-click a data source file. Click New Link Template.
  2. In the New Link Template dialog box, enter a name for the link template in New Link Template Name. Click Continue.
  3. Select one or more key fields by clicking in their check boxes.

    You should keep the number of key fields to a minimum. Large numbers of key fields can have a negative impact on the performance of Link Select and other connectivity operations.

  4. Click OK to create the link template.
