Use Parameters in Dynamic Blocks
 
 
 

To add a rotation parameter to a dynamic block definition

  1. In the Block Editor, in the Block Authoring Palettes window, Parameters tab, click the Rotation Parameter tool.
  2. (Optional) Follow the command prompts to specify the following for the parameter:
    NoteYou can also specify and edit these properties in the Properties palette at a later time, after you've added the parameter to the block definition.
  3. Do one of the following to specify a base point for the parameter:
  4. Do one of the following to specify the radius for the parameter:
  5. Specify a base angle for the parameter.

    The angle shown in the Properties palette when you select the block reference in a drawing is measured relative to the base angle specified in the block definition.

  6. Do one of the following to specify a default rotation angle for the parameter:
  7. Do one of the following to specify a location for the parameter label:
  8. To add an action now, double-click the alert icon. Follow the prompts to associate an action with the parameter and a selection set of geometry.
  9. On the Block Editor toolbar, click Save Block Definition.
  10. If you are finished using the Block Editor, click Close Block Editor.
