To add layers to a layer state

  1. Click Format menu Layer States Manager. At the Command prompt, enter LAYERSTATE.
  2. In the Layer States Manager, select the named layer state that you want to add layers to.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Edit Layer State dialog box, click Add.
  5. In the Select Layers to Add to Layer State dialog box, select the layers you want to add.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click OK to exit the Edit Layer State dialog box.
  8. Click Close to exit the Layer States Manager.
