Materials Tool Palettes

To add a material to a tool palette

  1. Click Tools menu; Palettes; Materials to activate the Material window.
  2. Click Tools menu; Palettes; Tool Palettes to activate the tool palettes.
  3. Click a tool palette tab that you want to add a material tool to make it active.
  4. In the Materials window, select a swatch.
  5. Drag a material swatch from the Material window to the tool palette.

    A material tool is added the active tool palette, where it is easily accessible when you are working in a drawing.

NoteIf you change the properties of the material in the Materials window later, the material tool is not automatically updated. Delete the old material tool. Drag the updated swatch to create a new one.
 Toolbar: Render 
 Shortcut menu: Right-click a material and click Export to Active Tool Palette.
 Command entry: MATERIALS
 Dashboard: Materials panel, Display Materials Window
