Finding the Version of the Vendor Daemon and lmswitchr

How you are able to rotate report logs depends on the version of the vendor daemon and lmswitchr that you use. The -switchlog batch option in SAMsuite uses lmswitchr.

Find the version of the vendor daemon. To find the version of a vendor daemon, start lmtools, the FLEXlm utility. Select the Utilities tab where you can find the version of FLEXlm that is built into a file. Enter or browse to the vendor daemon and click the Find Version button. The FLEXlm version will be displayed at the bottom of the lmtools window.

lmswitchr is found in the lmtools interface. Check the version of lmtools (and therefore lmswitchr ) by selecting Help About.
