To assign a color to a layer

  1. Click Format menu Layer.At the Command prompt, enter layer.
  2. In the Layer Properties Manager, select a layer. Click the color icon.
  3. In the Select Color dialog box, select a color.
  4. Click Apply to save your changes, or click OK to save and close.
