To create a web distribution with a manufacturer’s IES file.

  1. At the Command prompt, enter lightingunits and set the value to 1 (International units) or 2 (American units) for photometric lighting.
  2. At the command line, enter properties to activate the Properties palette.
  3. Select a spotlight from the lighting Dashboard and insert it into the drawing.
  4. Select the light. The properties for the spotlight are displayed in the Properties palette.
  5. Under the General panel, change the lighting Type from spotlight to web.
  6. Under the Photometric Web panel, select the blank text box. The browse button is displayed.
  7. Select the browse button to select an IES file.

    The light has been changed to have a web distribution with the web settings from the IES file.
