To open an AutoCAD file from the Internet by browsing an FTP site
Click
File
menu
Open
.
At the Command prompt, enter open.
In the Select File dialog box, click Tools
Add/Modify FTP Locations.
In the Add/Modify FTP Locations dialog box, under Name of FTP Site, enter the site name for the FTP location (for example,
ftp.autodesk.com
).
Under Log On As, select one of the following:
Anonymous.
Logs on to the FTP site as an anonymous user. If the FTP site does not allow anonymous logons, select User and enter a valid user name.
User.
Logs on to the FTP site using the specified user name.
Enter a password if required by the FTP site.
Click Add. Click OK.
In the Select File dialog box, select FTP from the Places list.
Double-click one of the FTP sites and select a file.
Click Open.
